Erdeven, Kerminihy beach

On the beaches in Brittany, ERDEVEN

On the Gulf of Morbihan

ERDEVEN, is a town located on the magnificent Gulf of Morbihan.
Its endless beaches are part of the largest belt of sand dunes in Brittany. They extend from Pointe de Gâvres to Fort Penthièvre. Erdeven is also well known for its menhirs and dolmens.
Kerminihy is a naturist beach, Kerouriec, a family beach and Kerhillio is well known for its shallow depths and gentle waves that allow everyone to enjoy the water. A real paradise on earth.
The municipality launched a sustainable development policy, as part of Agenda 21, in 2009. We met the decision-makers through this new initiative.

Robust comfort and privacy

To improve the welcome to its exceptional locations, the Marie d’ERDEVEN called upon KAZUBA’s expertise.
The mission was to build toilets that were not connected to any sewage systems, that would not discharge into the environment and would fit perfectly into the natural surroundings. Due to the vagaries of winter storms and exposure to salt spray, we needed completely weatherproof cabins.
We readily accepted this challenge

Already made to last

Three KL2-PMR toilets with external urinals, are now installed in the car parks adjoining the beaches of Keminihy, Kerouriec and Kerhilio.

Our cabins have become so successfully integrated, on the beaches of Brittany, that they have inspired artists. See Fanch Galivel’s photos.

Intensive use eco-friendly toilets

The Pont de Gau is situated at the heart of the Camargue Regional National Park, a protected conservation area and with more than 800,000 visitors annually, there was a need for a foolproof ecological toilet.

New ecological technology

The park is equipped with our latest high-capacity toilet system. There are 7 toilets (including one accessible to people with reduced mobility) to ensure maximum comfort for everyone.

Nimes Métropôles - toilette séche au bois des noyers

Nîmes Métropole - Bois des Noyers

Developing social cohesion

The Nîmes Métropole 2030 project.

The Nîmes Métropole agglomeration is made up of 260,000 inhabitants in 39 municipalities. In autumn 2016, in order to prepare for its future, the conglomeration decided to put in place a project to be achieved by 2030.
It is a veritable “road map” in terms of development, social cohesion, town planning, transport, housing, economic development, environmental preservation and the management of resources for the next decade.

Ecological toilets in the woods

The BOIS DES NOYERS is the largest green space to the south of Nîmes city centre. This site has been conceived so that everyone is involved in the consultation process. A hybrid space combining economic and leisure activities that facilitate the de-compartmentalisation of uses in order to promote exchange and give birth to new projects. It allows both urban and nature activities to coexist.

Towards a new, accessible, green space

Sports, boules, chess, shared gardens and picnic areas, make for a lively place to share with a varied flora and fauna i.e. hedgehogs, woodpeckers or the rare Geoffrey’s bat.
In this natural setting, in the heart of the city, public toilets were needed that would conform to important environmental requirements.

Two KL2-PMR toilets (for people with reduced mobility) await the first visitors, in early February 2020.

Urban nature

The company Vectalia has been working with the Perpignan Méditerranée Métropole council, providing its public transport system, since 1998. This collaboration was renewed in September 2011 through a new Public Service contract.
